Description: Established in 1922, Saint Gertrude High School (SGHS) is Virginia’s only all girls Catholic High School. Originally located in the Museum District of Richmond, the school relocated to Mary Mother of the Church Abbey in the summer of 2020. This location was already the home of its brother school, Benedictine College Preparatory (BCP). SGHS shared a building with BCP during the transition period while Taylor & Parrish was constructing the new SGHS building. The new 52,500 SF building is perched on a bluff overlooking the James River and includes a Chapel, a Great Hall for gathering, a Dining Room, multiple labs, classrooms, and administrative offices.
